He released his first songs like The Come Up, Never Cared or The Come up. Following that, he launched on SoundCloud with the release of his mixtape called Official POLO.G Sound Cloud. Gang With Me, his debut single, was followed by the smash hit track The Finer Things. He composed the second song while in jail. The single was his debut and he had millions of YouTube views. Then, record labels were showing an interest in his work. Pop Out feat. Lil Tjay was a hit for the rapper following his signing the deal to license his music through Columbia Records. The single received millions of views on YouTube. In addition, it reached 22nd place on the Billboard Hot 100. Polo G was a YouTube phenomenon and attained a fair amount of recognition through other social media platforms like Instagram, Twitter and Facebook.
